Finally Legal?!

so there you have it, I'm officially legal and considered an adult here in Ireland.
On Saturday, the 20th of September, I officially turned 18 years old. every year I usually just have a few friends over or I do something with my family, but this year was different! this year my family held a huge party for me with friends and family and I cant thank them enough.

there was a lot of things to be done for the party. they were always small things that you don't always think about like buying plastic plates,knives and forks.. your mainly thinking of things like the cake, the food, the clothes that sort of thing.

one of my favourite things that I got to pick out and choose was my birthday cake. I wanted something different, I had planned to get a giant rainbow cake but then decided to go and get something that none of my friends and family had gotten before so I got a giant cupcake made for me, with "happy 18th birthday Claire" on the plate and lots of cupcakes around it.

something I loved about my birthday party was the fact that I had my closest friends and all my family around me. my family don't get together as much as we would hope but when something like this comes along its great to see everyone together.

one thing I remember really well from the birthday, would be the panic and stress that whole morning and afternoon trying to get ready for the party. trying to clean up last minute things, cooking food, setting up, collecting the cake, decorations, etc..
but in the end we got everything done. I didn't think I was going to have enough time to get ready but in the end, i had loads of time.. even when 2 of my friends showed up an hour early :P

this was the dress I wore for the party, it had really cute pink roses on it and I feel in love with it the second I saw it.
I left my hair down for once, instead of my usual half up, half down hair style

I really just wanted to post this because I haven't been on since June because I was surprisingly so busy over summer and didn't have a chance to sit down and actually write something but now I'm back in school and I just wanted to give an update.
so that's the only main thing that happened and I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for all the birthday wishes, comments, presents, cards, tweets etc.. xx claire
